Looks like they took account of all those bad review. Site is working well now. Took under 5 seconds to receive activation mail. They made a brand new author pannel, which work wonder.

pending in review seems to be for ages (around 6 months now)
No change to improve any of the points mentioned above.
Something isn't right about their registration process.
