    This site seems not to allow free listings any more, the pad URL link links to a non existing page, it should be removed from the list.

    I am Teo from Softonic. I just saw the link to our control panel is public on this web.
    We are currently in a beta phase working on the Softonic control panel functionality and the processes to fully support it.
    You are very welcome to use it, but please have in mind that we are still in beta and there might be still some issues. Please be patient with us if some things are not working 100%, we are working on it ;-).
    Through the Softonic control panel you will be able to:
    - Upload your programs to Softonic.
    - Assign yourself your programs that are already on Softonic.
    - Update your software on Softonic.
    - View download statistics of your Software.
    We are planning to launch the control panel in the next few weeks.

    their download tool sucks,and cause my program's compress file invalid.I ask they to resolve it for two weeks.finally,they resolve it by delete my program which is number one on the catalog and downloaded by thousand every week.

    I totally can't understand their called "please don´t hesitate to contact us",can you?

    Very bad upload site.
    After a lengthy proces in which I had to fill in info that already was present in my pad file I finally clicked on Submit (after step 2).
    This was the response:
    Forbidden
    You don't have permission to access /software-new on this server.

    Pressing the Back button resulted in loosing all the entered information. Great site softonic. The text 'Your sotware' in the control panel should've been a hint..
    Awful.

    Gave up on uploading to this site - there are problems with their control panel. First, it said my PAD was invalid with no explanation so I attempted to manually enter the info only to get an endless stream of error messages. I finally had it down to it not liking my icon (it said it would take .ico but it didn't) and then it didn't like the size of the jpg conversion. Forget it. Is this site really that high in the rankings? How are the rankings compiled?

    @odoaker: My apologies for this bad experience. The issue you are describing has proved to be a bug that appears in some cases (very few cases though which makes it hard to chase down). We are working on fixing this bug.

    i submitted my software and I after a month i received an e-mail stating that my logo picture is not OK. I updated it immediately and submitted again... another three weeks passed away and nothing yet.. is it that worth waiting for them to list my software?

    This site is horrendous to upload to. I submitted a PAD, but it still wanted descriptions etc. When I supplied text it complained there was too much (but I was well within their length requirement) Then it complained about the size of my Icon and ScreenShot (too small) - who uses icons 100x100 min? In the end I blew them up in photoshop and re-submitted. Then the whole form froze.

    Of all the download sites I have been to, this has got to be the worst - they are a bunch of amateurs.
